About the Author

Ray Madaghiele is a Human Transformation Master.  During the past 18 years he has used his unique style and ability to stimulate the mind, invoke the heart and ignite the spirit in tens of thousands of people in hundreds of organizations.  As CEO and co-founder of the Transformational Learning Center, he specializes in the integration of science, systems and human potential to effect lasting, positive change in individuals, organizations and communities. Through his seminars, classes, retreats and personal success coaching, he has inspired people to lead happier, more fulfilling personal and professional lives.

Ray has spent the past 21 years studying universal laws that govern how the universe and life work.  Ray is a 1982 civil engineering graduate from Arizona State University.  He spent 10 years as a civil engineer managing multi-million dollar planning, design and construction projects, applying scientific principles to improve our quality of life in the physical world.

While he was at ASU studying to be an engineer, he supplemented his scientific course load with religious studies courses to uncover universal principles that work on both physical and metaphysical levels.

Ray is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Course in Human Relations and Effective Communication.  His life was changed so radically as a result of taking the class that he became a certified Dale Carnegie Course instructor and taught Carnegie night courses from 1987 to 1995 while continuing to practice civil engineering during the day.  The satisfaction that he received from being a catalyst for personal growth in the lives of his class members was a defining period in Ray’s life.  It caused him to shift all his energy toward mastering human potential principles.

To further his study of spiritual principles, Ray became a Lay Minister for a large Unity Church in Arizona, where, for six years, he developed a ministry that focused on teaching the practical applica-tion of timeless spiritual principles taught by Jesus, Buddha, Sai Baba, Charles Fillmore and other spiritual masters from the past and present.  His thirst for spiritual insights has inspired him to make three pilgrimages to India to spend time in Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s ashrams.

Ray has extensive experience in public speaking and working with diverse audiences.  He has appeared on radio talk shows, given television interviews and written newspaper columns about creating peace of mind and happiness and about developing good character.  Ray is comfortable with engaging in controversial dialogue and works to elevate the positive energy level of any situation at hand.

Since 1998, he and his wife have facilitated a three-day weekend retreat entitled “Lasting Happiness” in the pine-filled mountains of northern Arizona.  The intensive, experiential retreat teaches people how to integrate scientific and spiritual principles at a deep level and to express their purpose and their values more fully in all areas of their lives.  The retreat has received rave reviews from the participants.  For example, one participant who had experienced many other seminars that were invasive and confrontive made the following comment that clearly distinguishes his style of teaching:  “Wow, transformation with love!”  And that is Ray’s approach in all that he does.

In 1999, Ray and several associates created the Native American Leadership Academy in which they teach leadership classes that inspire hope and build self-reliance for leaders and employees within tribal governments and economic development enterprises throughout the United States.  They already have touched the lives of over 10,000 people with this incredible array of tools for aligning the mind, body and spirit.

Ray has an active passion for growing ethical leaders and building communities with character.  He is a member of National Speakers Association (NSA), the Arizona Chapter of the Professional Speakers Assocation, Arizona Authors Association, Society of Southwestern Authors, a charter member of Gilbert Arizona’s High Noon Rotary Club, past Board Member and facilitator of the Gilbert Leadership Program, and an alumni of the Phoenix Valley Leadership Institute.

Ray practices what he preaches.  He was the 1999 recipient of the Town of Gilbert Community Excellence Mayoral Award; and Ray’s company, the Transformational Learning Center, won the 2001 Gilbert Community Excellence Award for Small Business.

Ray lives in Gilbert, Arizona, with his wife, Lyn, and his two boys, Dominic and Joe.
